WHAT IS A SUPPORTED RESIDENTIAL SERVICE (SRS)?
An SRS is a business that provides accommodation and support for individuals, such as people who are aged or have a disability, who require assistance with everyday activities.
All SRS must be registered with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and all SRS must comply with the SRS Act and the regulations within the Act.
Supported Residential Services (Private Proprietors) Act 2010 and the Supported Residential Services (Private Proprietors) Regulations 2012
SRS can vary in size. They vary from small facilities to facilities that can accommodate up to as many as 80 residents.
WestPeak offers pension level services.
Pension level- This means that these facilities are for those who have low incomes (e.g. aged pension, disability pension) and have limited to no extra funds.

Transitioning to Supported Accommodation is a big decision. We understand that it can be stressful time and full of doubt. At Westpeak, we promote independence as appropriate amongst our residents through engaging in various activities, programs and education. Instead of losing independence, we encourage our residents to maintain it!
